Here is a true representation of beauty that can only be produced by nature.  Rich colors abound, the elegant chocolate brown heartwood highlighted by dark and light streaks is what makes it prized by woodworkers and artisans alike.  Black walnut wood is typically used for upscale products and is one of the most durable hardwoods in the US.  

The Best Wood

This one is made from Missouri walnut, the location of the most black walnut trees existing in the United States and makes one of the best wood for end grain cutting boards possible.  Beautiful and built to last a lifetime it will keep your knives sharper longer and is inherently "self healing", meaning that knife marks will be hard to see even after being used for years.

Just the Right Size

It's perfect size for everyday use.  It's not too heavy to be stored out of the way when not used and lighter weights make cleaning wood cutting boards easier.  Some manufacturers boast about producing larger boards, which means heavy and cumbersome.  Food preparation should be enjoyable and my medium sized cutting board will help make your cooking fun again!

 Food Safe Wood Sealer

After production, we soak them in a food grade mineral oil bath for at least 1 hour and then let them dry overnight.  The following day we apply a beeswax and mineral oil balm to all surfaces to lock in the oil from the soak.  These steps take time, but you can be sure it is well protected and ready for use when it arrives. 

Completely Reversible…

It's reversible, meaning you can use both sides which extends the lifetime of the cutting board.
