A Name Good Enough to Eat!
This stunning board is truly a "cut" above. Pink hues accented by light and dark growth rings in the wood make this a very beautiful board that really stands out. Over time, the wood will darken a bit, due to oxidization, to a deep rich reddish brown with a golden luster. It only gets better with time!
A Great Choice
Cherry wood is one of the softest of the hardwoods making it a great choice for being gentle on your knives while still holding up to daily use. We believe ours is superior to most of the leading end grain cutting boards on the market today. We use thicker wood and we go to great lengths to arrange the wood growth ring patterns to prevent warping. The arrangement also helps make it less prone to joint failure.
Perfectly Sized
This is a medium board is just the right size for daily use. Some are so large making them difficult to move around the kitchen. The larger ones are very heavy and are a pain to keep clean and oiled. It's easy to take to the sink for a quick rinse and cleaning. Applying the oil to all the surfaces is a snap too.
All Sealed and Protected
We finish all boards by soaking them in food grade mineral oil for an hour or so on each side. After that we let them dry overnight and the following day we apply a beeswax and mineral oil balm to all surfaces as a final seal.
